You can end up paying considerably more for a cabin during peak summer months or over the winter holidays. Celebrity allows you to bring two bottles of wine per cabin onto ships at boarding at no charge (for consuming in your room; you'll be charged a $15 corkage fee if you want to bring it to an onboard restaurant or bar to drink). Do note, though, that the ocean views aren’t as spectacular as you might be hoping. These cabins merely offer a small, rectangular window on one side of the cabin, near the sitting area. That said, Celebrity Beyond does not boast that much more in terms of guest capacity and crew size, when comparing it to other Edge-class ships (just a few hundred more).

With the Classic Drinks Package we had purchased, coffee drinks at the cafe were included. This was a great place to both grab a drink on the run or sit in the cafe and enjoy the view. We loved everything on the Oceanview buffet and even chose to dine there one night rather than in the main dining room. We knew that we had a smaller balcony than normal, with an obstructed view. Luckily, it wasn’t much of an issue and we didn’t spend too much time on the balcony. Then, we went to our stateroom, which was surprisingly already clean and waiting for us.

In addition to Oceanview and the main dining room, we also booked two excellent specialty dinners - the Tuscan Grill and Qsine (Le Petit Chef). I’d especially recommend Qsine because the food was delicious and the Le Petit Chef experience is very unique. As with any of our cruises, we all decided to arrive the day before just in case of any flight delays. We stayed at Marriott Vacation Club Pulse, South Beach which was both affordable and conveniently located. I’ll definitely plan to stay there again when I sail from Miami. Both offer age-appropriate programming, activities and amenities like video game systems and games.

Unlike Royal Caribbean, Carnival, MSC Cruises and Norwegian, Celebrity doesn't load up the top of its ships with sprawling waterparks, go-kart tracks, laser tag courses and other flashy, family-focused diversions. During the winter, the line will move most of its ships to the Caribbean, but also send a few to Asia, Australia and South America. Celebrity's Solstice Class and Millennium Class ships are even smaller at around 122,000 tons and 91,000 tons, respectively.
There are several veranda categories available throughout the Celebrity fleet, all of which offer traditional balcony setups. Unless otherwise noted, all cabins are designed for double occupancy. In most cases, solo travelers staying in accommodations meant for two people will be charged an additional cruise fare, known as a single supplement. Further, some staterooms are outfitted with trundle beds, pull-down bunks or sofa beds that can accommodate up to four people per room. Although all of the ships' staterooms fall into the same general categories – insides, oceanviews, balconies and suites – the specific types of each vary across classes, particularly with regard to the most expensive options.
Oddly, all staterooms are labeled as Junior Suites, but while half of them have balconies (180 square feet with 245-square-foot verandas), the other half (190 square feet) don't. It's also interesting to note that, in the ones that do have them, the balconies boast significantly more space than the interior living area does. Basic amenities are included, but what really sets these accommodations apart is that they provide cruisers with private access to ocean air – no need to venture to a public deck. Because we had booked the concierge level, we were invited to a sit-down lunch in the main dining room on embarkation day.
